How we are paid
How we are paid

On receiving your enquiry we will contact you by telephone to discuss your requirements further and ascertain if you wish to arrange a meeting or would prefer to deal with us by phone and correspondence.

First Conversation or Meeting

The purpose of this conversation is firstly to establish whether we are able to assist with your needs and help you meet your objectives, and secondly to discuss how we would be paid for our counsel and services once you have instructed us to proceed. There is no charge for this preliminary thirty minute conversation, and no obligation on either side.

Our Fees

We work on a fee basis at our standard hourly rate, we will ensure that you are fully aware of any costs involved, before a commitment is made.  Fees will be based on time spent and evaluated at a rate per hour calculated to recover our costs. Fees may attract an additional VAT charge.

Commission

Where we move on to implement the financial plan by arranging, for instance,  an investment or pension plan, we may be paid commission by the provider, usually an insurance company or an investment house for the successful placing of business. This is usually enough to pay our fees and we are usually able to reimburse a large portion of it into your plan by means of commision sacrifice.
